Being out of work, finding a job and/or working a job you hate can cause a ton of stress in your life, not to mention angry, anxiety, worry and a host of other emotions. I’ve been there numerous times, and have experienced the feeling of being both helpless and worthless.
The fact is economies ebb and flow, and jobs aren’t necessarily guaranteed for life. At the very least, society and technology are constantly changing, meaning if you had a job making 3 1/2” floppy diskettes (do you even know what that is?) you would be out of work thanks to the internet, the cloud, and flash drives.
The point is to look at job hunting (and career planning) from a flow perspective. Through flow you are able to understand what you are REALLY about. When you understand your flow, your true life’s purpose, you are able to make rational choices that save you time, money and frustration. Result? Your job search is substantially more effective and you can eliminate most, if not all, of the bad feelings usually associated with being unemployed.
Sound like a fantasy? It isn’t, and that’s because fear, anxiety, depression and the rest serve no good purpose and thwart your job search process. Flow does the opposite!
A friend of mine just emailed me one of your articles from a while back. I read that one a few more. Really enjoy your blog. Thanks
Your blog doesn’t look right in Lynx. Maybe your theme? But other than that, I’m going to say this isnt the first I’ve seen this. But yes, it’s pretty much the way it is and the way it will be. wty1d8
